The most common cause of pain under the heel of the foot.

Inflammation of the tendon, common in athletes who run or jump, caused by trauma to the tendon. Often preceeded by lack of flexibility in the calf muscles. Running in poor shoes or on too hard surfaces may complicate the problem.
Rest, ice, stretching exercises, massage, shoes/orthotics.
Aching pain in the lower front of the leg. Usually occurs in runners due to lack of conditioning. Several different muscles may be involved individually or in combination.

This is the most common injury that causes ankle pain. It may vary from a simple overstretching to a partial or complete rupture of ligaments.
RICE, ice early - heat later in the healing process, cast or taping, exercises, massage later in healing process, exercises.
Hereditary loss of arch in the foot. Pain and fatigue in walking or standing.
Arch supports/orthotics, exercises, shoes, massage.
