"Let it grow, let it grow..." - Eric Clapton
It's a good thing that Runners' World sent over those bib numbers!!! We more than doubled in size this week with 16 racers tonight. I don't know what the heck happened to the weather - must have been John Petrarca's doing, bringing along all that sun and pleasantness. Sheesh! The course record was blown away tonight by RBC-loaded George from Boulder, CO. And to think that New Englanders worry about Kenyans competing in local races - this guy was lightning! Apparently Dave S' plans were foiled today when his wife, Linda, permanently marked the course turns in bright yellow paint. Chuck and Bob were thankful. Special kudos go out to the drunken bicyclist and his police escort at mile marker 1 who provided some along-the-route slapstick entertainment. Janice uncovered a little known secret about the RRR...the treasure hunt. Her keen eyes allowed her to pocket a whopping 6 cents - way to go! See you all next week...
