Twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe, all mimsy were the borogroves and the mome raths outgrabe.

For some reason, that poem came to mind when I thought about how to describe today's weather. Suits it just dandy...rain, mud, overcast skies, wind, and of course our beloved New England humidity. The sign gremlins reared their ugly heads this race sending a few runners on a short scenic tour. Boy Scouts they must have all been in their earlier years, for they found their way back on track with the skill of a pack of bloodhounds. Paul was nice enough to return the uprooted sign to its original position. A funny thing happened though...the sign went right back down...apparently just after Dave passed it. Was it the gust of wind as Dave flew by at breakneck speeds or were Chuck's suspicions true that Dave was involved in a conspiracy to stop Chuck and Bob from overtaking all the runners in a last ditch burst of adrenaline during the last mile of the race. We'll never know... Linda, our first racewalker, completed the course at a shin-searing pace of 13:36 per mile.
