Jesse Howes (who was paced throughout the race by his friend Carlos Rivera) won the Summer Sizzler 8K in an impressive 28:26. He was followed by Celio Hernandez (29:40) and Bob Willis (30:42). Kristine Ross, who is still recovering from a knee injury from running the Boston Marathon, had a great race. She was the first woman and set a new record of 31:42 for the 35 year old age category.
