Reed Nixon, 21, and Robert Nixon, 20, residents of Northboro, are both disabled due to an automobile accident in 1995. In spite of their physical limitations, Reed is excelling at Bentley College as a part time student, and Robert is currently living away from home on a mission. The medical and rehabilitation expenses of these brothers continue to be costly. Rob is presently in need of a new wheelchair and new expenses are always arising.
This year's race, the fourth, was a community effort to raise money for Reed and Rob. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Nixon Boys Account.
Particularly heartwarming is the continued outpouring of support from the residents of Northboro. Of the 440 finishers, over half - 227 - are residents of Northboro.
