On a beautiful summer night, with the temperature around 75 degrees and low humidity, Tom Geer of Glastonbury claimed the victory in week #6 of the series. Coming across in a solid time of 17:45, Geer became the first under-18 overall winner in the series while establishing a course standard for the age group. Rick Alden kept things interesting, placing second just 10 seconds later, followed 43 seconds later by Keith Pigeon. Pam Stevenson won the women's race in 26:52.

The course is a rolling, measured 5k with approximately 2 miles on trails. The series will continue each Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m. through the end of August. Registration is in the first dirt lot on the left. Entry fee is $1, Clif Bars are awarded to all finishers and water will be provided at the finish line.
