20th Provident Companies Columbus Day 5K

Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you can't succeed. Such seems to be the case with the Provident Companies Columbus Day 5K. The Provident Companies does just about everything right with respect to what it offers. For a single-digit entry fee - a rarity these days - the race gives long-sleeve t-shirts to the first 200 entrants, good prizes and plenty of post race refreshments. And yet, for some reason beyond that of the newsletter staff to fathom, the numbers of participants drops each reaching, reaching an all-time low of 81 this year.
