The first in the new series experienced a few problems; athletes taking the train
to the wrong town and arriving late, for one. But the Can Am Series is off the ground.
Men's 1500 meter runners let the pace lag in both races, but the Steeplechase produced
five sub 8:40 clockings.
Temperatures in the region, which had been in the 80's with high humidity during the week,
did a complete change during the day. Mid afternoon rains dried out the air, but also dropped
the temperatures to an unexpected low 60's by feature race times.
