BU's Karl Rasmussen hit the NCAA provisional standard in the 5000, lapping all but two runners with his 14:03.82 Selected as the meet's outstanding athletes were a pair of Boston U middle distance runners; Kevin Murphy whose pair of 800's set an open meet record 1:48.37 and a anchored his 4x800 in 1:49. His teammate Ann Kovansky won 1000 and 3000, and finished 2nd in the mile. Northeastern women and New Hampshire men were team titlists.
