Wham! While the temperatures were higher than normal - lower 30's - for this year's version of the Thanksgiving Day Whitin Five, the winds were brutal. At one point, after about half of the field had finished, a particularly strong gust of wind blew over the finish line clock and the tripod upon which it was mounted, and the entire finish line chute. Fortunately, the clock suffered no permanent damage and the timing of the race continued on without a problem.
