Pouring rain did not stop 250 brave runners at the 11th Boston Athletic
Club road race. The premier club in New England again hosted a gem of an
event even though the weather did not cooperate. James McGaugh and Warren
Macphail came in hand in hand 3 seconds in front of Boston Police Officer
Jahour Mustapha. Marty Geissler won for the women in a time of 29:47. People
hung around for hours on tennis court #2 and enjoyed beer, pizza, Powerbars, and
bagels. The raffle seemed like it took almost an hour. Steve Crays did an
excellent job of organizing this event, it was his first year.
