5th ANNUAL "Leprechaun 5 Miler"

The Madison Exchange Club's "Leprechaun 5 Miler" started and finished at the
Madison Town Beach's Surf Club. Nearly 200 runners turned out for the most
successful run to-date for this new and promising season opening certified 5
mile run. All entrants were treated with souvenir, long sleeved shirts, clam
chowder from Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale Restaurant, as well as yogurt, fruit,
juice
and coffee from the many additional sponsors, the proceeds from which are
directed by the Exchange Club towards the "Prevention of Child Abuse". The
overall winners received NIKE gift certificates, plaques and other awards.
Individual age group winners (male and female) were awarded plaques. A
drawing was held after the Run and additional prizes were available to all
the
other participants. A fine time was had by all in kicking off the St.
Patrick's Day
Weekend!
