1996 Westford Academy Summer Road Race Series - 10th Annual

Results of third Westford Academy Summer Road Race
Men's Course Record: Frank Minosh - 17:45 (1994)
Women's Course Record: Kara Molloy - 21:04 (1994)
A series of races is being held every Thursday night at the Westford Academy,
Westford, MA, from June 13th through August 29. There are 12 3.58 mile races.
Starting time is 6:30 p.m. Walkers start at 6:15 p.m. The fourth race will
be held on Wednesday night, July 3rd instead of Thursday night, July 4th.
Trophies and medals will be given at the end of the season in each category
based on time and position in each category. Points are awarded based upon a
runner's position in his/her category in each race. If five people run in a
category, points are awarded as follows: First - 5 points, Second - 4 points,
Third - 3 points, etc. The categories are Male and Female; ages 17 and under,
18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over. There are several "special races"
throughout the season, including Guess Your Time, random team competition and
family night. There is a $2.00 per race entry fee.
