New England Collegiate Championships - MEN
Boston University
Saturday, February 24-25, 1996
The opening individual event brought out the most screams - from the competitors - as twin towers Mark and Sean McGehearty swept the weight with throws just shy of NCAA automatic. Lone double winner was Wali Muhammad of Connecticut in the horizontal jumps. and David Federico of Rhode Island turned in an outstanding long sprint double (200 win/400 silver/4x4 anchor win) within 90 minutes and his 21.71 was the sole meet record set. Connecticut almost scored enough points to win outright on day 1 (57) even though the only running final contested on Friday was the 5000.
