Weather: about 77 degrees, moderately humid, still air and a dry course.

Volunteers: Sue Grant, Gene Reilly, Joseph Sayles, Bryon Dailey, Jim Farrick, Jean Henneberry (walkintalkinlookingood), Shawn Robbins, Mike Duffy, Aaron Stone, John Reino, Tom Davidson, Dave Martula, Bob Massaro, Andrea Olkin and daughter. Update on Lyme Disease: Numerous people have reported their bouts with the infection to us. The general view: blood tests are highly inaccurate, spreading red bullseye pattern is frequently found but not always, antibiotics can stop permanent damage if taken early, ofttimes the tiny tick is never seen. Scary News: A human-seeking mosquito carrying the deadly, as yet untreatable, Eastern Equine Encephalitis bug was caught in July in Nickerson State Park on Cape Cod. Nickerson has miles of the best dirt/sand trails for running in the world. Many runners from Western Mass. tent or visit there to run in summer. Don’t get bit!
