Fratini and Carolyn Dekker notch victories while
Betty Quinn and Lyn Walker set new standards.
|Under bright and sunny blue
skies Peter Fratini broke away to register both a
victory and a personal course best, slipping a single tick under 37
minutes. Carolyn Dekker ran ( I believe) to
her first Snowstorm title improving on her previous 2nd and 3rd place
showings this season.
Lyn Walker establishes a new standard for 72 year-olds at 50:03. Lyn now owns every record from age 65 through 72. Betty Quinn lowrs lowers her own 62 year old mark, just two weeks young, which now sits at 49:39 to accompany her other 60 year mark.
Also worth noting Bruce Kurtz will reach an impressive milestone next week, having completed his 199th Snowstorm Classic this past Saturday!
Many thanks to this weeks volunteers: Ed Carroll, Bill Carrall, Julie Carrol, Neal Lamberton, Brian Goddu, Lee Hastletine, Craig Balderstron, Jim Gurzenski, Pete Vangsness, Bruce Kurtz and Kianna Eaton, and of course our ever present Race Director Art Roberts.
A Final Note: I've been logging many hours writting the software (and not logging much running these days) for the new bar-coded badge system that we will be putting in place soon. Aplogies for the lateness in getting the results and our Harrier website updated.
