I hate to beat a dead horse. Really I do. I had planned to let Old Man Schaeffer-Duffy fade away into dual last name obscurity this week. Left to rest upon a pee stained sidewalk bench in the Village of Piedmont waxing poetic of dreams which once were. “You, nomadic street person, come forth and hear me…... “ Well not now, not this week.  I can’t. I have a reader submitted photo that needs to be seen by those who choose to read this drivel.

 It was a double S showdown for 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th place this week SSx3.  The bad S, henceforward known by his Indian name “Red haired radical who choketh in last quarter mile” came up short and sucking wind yet again with innocent bystanders Seamus and Kasey Shanley just stuck in the middle.  Poor Mr. Duffy, almost feel bad making him work so hard only to end up looking so silly. Almost. For all of you who think I should maybe go easy on him allow me paraphrase Marky Mark Wahlberg channeling a young “Irish” Micky  Ward… “I’m the one fighting, nawt you, nawt you and nawt you”
