Another great year!

The CCRR Winter Fun Run is always a great way to start off the New Year’s running circuit. This year—the 31st—was no exception! I awoke early to find 3 to 5” of fresh snow on the ground, making for an interesting morning. The DPW was out in force though, and the route was clear except the slippery conditions at the start/finish line. We had a good group of hardy souls that ventured out to brave the conditions. By race time, the sun was out and the snow was melting. Conditions were fair, all considering. However, it was not a day for record setting. Times were a bit slower than usual and this was not a year for PRs. It was a year for fun and interesting running though! Special thanks to the Cape Cod Athletic Club for their support. Also, thanks go out to the Thirsty Irish Runners for another good representation. See you all next year! But remember, it’s a 10:30 start (not 11:00, as a few found out)!
