We had planned to give away a BMW tonight but sadly the plan never materialized. The biggest hurdle we faced was probably that we didn't have a BMW to give away. I know this sounds like a case of poor planning but really we tried. Apparently there was some sort of mix-up and we ended up with a BBW instead. We couldn't come up with a legal way to exchange money for a big beautiful woman so in order to avoid a visit from the vice squad we deep sixed the contest.  If Herb Chambers is reading this, you know he is, you know you are Herb, maybe he can help us get this idea off the ground.

It was old friend night at the pub. Amy Paquette and Kevin Fallon stopped in for some pink beverages. Mark Johnson, just in from the Haitian relief effort showed off his new (skeleton like) figure. Sure it sucks to be in Haiti, but what a way to lose a few lb's. Brian McCarthy, middle school disciplinarian extraordinaire showed us teachers can be athletes too. Lastly, Monday night runner turned Iowan farmer Brenna Cussen rolled up in her John Deere 9760 Combine to hang with us. Congratulations to Brenna and Old MacDonald on their forthcoming nuptials!

In just over three weeks The Worcester Hibernian Cultural Foundation and the Central Mass Striders are bringing to you the running public the "Fourth Annual Canal Diggers 5k" . A kick ass road race where for just a scant 20 bucks, a mere pittance, you'll get chip timing, a fast course, a nice t-shirt, a finisher medal, live bands, freebie BBQ, hot chicks and Free Beer!!!
