| THE FIRST ANNUAL MEMORIAL RUSSO 5K "RUN FOR THE ANIMALS" and family fun walk. Sunday, October 11, 2009 RACE LOCATION: Colt State Park Bristol, RI RACE DESCRIPTION: 5k at Colt State Park, 1 Asylum Road, Bristol, RI; Meet at the waterfront area where the covered tables and bathroom facilities are. Family fun walk is a shorter walk behind the runners with a shortcut to end of race. RACE INFO: Registration opens at 9:00 am on race day. Registration fee is $25 day of race or $20 if you register by mail (must be postmarked by 10/1/09) or if you register online by October 8, 2009, at www.needtorace.com. DIRECTIONS from Providence:
Take RT 95 to RT 195 East through Massachusetts; Take exit 2 Warren/Newport, RI onto route
RI 136; follow Rt 136 (Metacom Avenue) through Warren RI to Bristol RI; take a right turn onto
Gooding Avenue to end; take left onto Hope Street, Bristol RI, go .32 miles to entrance to the
park is on the right side at the red light (Asylum Road).
ADDITIONAL INFO:
All net proceeds will go to the RISPCA. All funds raised will stay in Rhode Island to help keep
animals safe and adoptable. Please bring any pet donations (i.e. dog or cat food, blankets,
cat litter, etc., in unopened packages to the race).
