The New Hampshire Snowshoe Racing came to an end with a fun-filled, Hawaiian-themed, relay race
at Pat's Peak Ski Area. With many shoers already having hung up theire snowshoes to get back on
the roads, only 10 hearty teams showed up to challenge the back woods trails. Not sure how many
hit the hot tub after the race, but at least one team asked where the bar was - before the race!

The oldest team entered, acidotic RACING 100, with 100 years of experience behind them, outlasted
the field to take the title in 44:59. They had to battle early on, as they were in 4th place after
the first 2 legs, but a powerful 5:14 3rd leg put them in the lead for good.

Team Kola, with just 31 years of life under their belt, put up a strong fight and took 2nd place
46:02, with Coed Open Champs McThompson taking 3rd in 46:30.

Thanks to all the snowshoers who made the 2009 NH Snowshoe Season a great success. 10 race with
608 finishers and over 700 entrants. Plus more than 50 kids in the 2 children's races. Plus we
even had one race, the Kingman Farm Moonlight Snowshoe sell out more than 4 weeks early!!!

Seeya in 2010. We're already planning a schedule of 10-12 races for your snowshoeing fun!!!
