What more could you a runner want - cool, drizzly day; challenging trails - but not too
hilly; and beer for the prizes? Well, the Exeter Trail Races delivered all that and more.
Witness the post race demonstration of wife-carrying. Yeah - I said wife-carrying!!!

acidotic RACING put on the Exeter Trail Races to raise money to offset the upcoming travel
expenses of members Ri Fahnestock and Sarah Silverberg as they travel to the World Wife
Carrying Championships in Finland as the North American Champions. Ri and Sarah won the
North American title last Fall in Maine - beating out a couple of acidotic RACING team-
mates - and earning the right to represent North America in the World Championships.

Keith Schmitt and Paul Young blazed their way through the 10 mile course to go 1-2, but
unfortunately went the wrong way around loop 2, making Steve Wolfe the kinda, sorta winner.

Diane Gagnon ran to a 3+ minute win among the ladies.

Leslie Dillon led the way in the accompanying 4.6 miler beating all the men. Eric Donnell
followed in 2nd place to lead the weaker sex (in the race).
