Mine Falls Summer Trail Race Series - Race #11

Race Story:

Race #11 of the 2009 Trail Series proved to be another hot one. But, 51 brave souls turned out
for the second to last race of the year. Next weeks race (8/24) will be our last of the season.
And, we'll finish off with a bang as we run our annual Handicap Race where runners are sent off
based on their course PR's for this year (from slowest to fastest) with the idea that everyone
should finish around the same time. And, afterwards we'll be handing out awards for the season!

This week, the 5k race winner Corey Hahnl who finished in a time of 18:16 or about a minute
and a half over second place runner Jimmy Walker. The female 5k winner was Felicia Lombardi
who finished in 20:42 ahead of Dolyne Divino. In the 5m, race director Michael Wade spoiled the day
for Greg Indruk as he barely held him off on the narrow trails of the last mile before slightly
outkicking him in 32:52. On the womens side, Lisa Lombardi won again and finished the mother-daughter
combo win (as Felicia won the 5k) in 43:30, 2 minutes ahead of runner-up Laura Rallis.
