Mine Falls Summer Trail Race Series - Race #10

Race Story:

Race #10 of the 2009 Trail Series was the hottest of the year, by far! Last week we had 90 runners.
This week our runners "enjoyed" temps in the 90's at the start. But, the warmer weather ceratinly did not
keep the crowds away as 70 runners happily spent their Monday evening running circles in the woods.

The 5k race winner was last weeks 5m winner Alex Brown who finished in a time of 17:54 over second
place runner Joseph Trujillo. The female 5k winner was Darlene Gaudet who finished in 20:37, one minute
ahead of Dolyne Divino. In the 5m, race director Michael Wade took advantage of the fact that the really
fast guys either ran the 5k or stayed away completely as he limped across the line in 32:40 ahead of
second place finisher Paul Gaffuri. On the womens side Lisa Lombardi picked up where her daughter
Felicia left off by winning the 5m in 44:18, 3 minutes ahead of runner-up Laura Rallis.
