Blackstrap Hell II
Falmouth, ME, November 29, 2009
About the race
Blackstrap Hell is a reverse pursuit race run on Blackstrap Hill, Falmouth,
Maine. Runners are seeded based on Bradbury Trail Race times and started in
reverse order, slowest first. The goal is for all runners to finish at the
same time. The winner is the first one across the tape, regardless of start
time. Awards are also given to fastest male, fastest female, best guess
(everyone guesses their time), worst injury, and most lost. Results are
"By Finish" order and "By Net Time". In the "By Finish" results, "Start" is
the minutes after the first runner that runner started. "Finish" is the
total time elapsed from the first runner starting, and "Net" is the actual
time taken by the runner. In both files "Pred. Net" is the predicted time
to finish the course and "Diff" is the difference between predicted and
actual time. If negative, the runner did better than predicted.
