It is without question that we are the best
fed runners this side of the Konkapot river.
With no less than a half dozen desserts, numerous potato dishes, and several
varieties of bread, the Monday night run has really become the pig-out fest
of champions. If the food selection doesn't make your bloomers a
little tighter maybe you'll want to see Kelley Sq's largest crock pot
collection. (Not to be confused with Kelley Sq's largest crack pipe collection
although the latter is probably just as interesting) We have crock pots of all
shapes and sizes and all filled with deliciousness of sorts. In fact Karen and
John Pajer lugged one in this week that probably should have had wheels to aid
in transport. I'm serious, this thing is huge. Come ogle it if you'd
like.
If food just isn't your thang maybe
Whiskey is. Our route takes us by KJ Baarons in Washington Sq.
and as we run by on Monday nights "The Whiskey Witch" is rockin' a whiskey
tasting under the Worcester moon. Well there is a roof between the moon
and the drinkers but I was having trouble coming up with a good description of
the event so... Anyway when you run by KJ Baarons next week slow down and
wave. usually the Whiskey tasters are standing at the window offering a toast to
us. I haven't heard what they are saying but it's probably along the lines
of "Raise you glasses folks, those idiots made it across the rotary". You
can also catch the Whiskey Witch Tuesdays at the Greyhound.
If you haven't been paying attention next
Thursday is Thanksgiving. The Grey Hound Pub will be holding our annual Turkey
Day 5k invitational road race at 9:00 am. Consider this your
invitation!!
