First Run 5or Walk 2 for the Oakham Band Stand June 27th , 2009

Many thanks from the Parks and Recreation Committee to all who were willing to participate or help in some way. Congratulations to Matt Twarog who is the event winner and current record holder, and to Mary Haynes who is now the women’s record holder. It should also be pointed out that Veteran runner Stu Thurston is still going strong! Finally we thank Joe Alfano and other members of CMS who are always helpful to have around. Our apologies to any competitor who’s exact time we may have missed, due to confusion at the finish line as a serious thunder storm developed! We do believe that places 1-9 are exact, and 10-16 are reasonably accurate.

We also plan on holding this event again next year, and expect that we will grow into a much larger event!
