It was another terrific race for the Cape Cod Road Runners! Temps were in the mid-20s with snowy/icy road conditions and clear, sunny skies. There were no course records to be taken this year, but it was a great race with the Cape Cod Athletic Club representing many of the top prizes. Thanks to the CCAC for making this part of their 2008/2009 Grand Prix. We also presented trophies for a new, over 70 age group. Congrats to Bill Riley for taking the prize in this new category. We didn't advertise the new age group, but certainly will next year after the success for 2009. Bill set a blistering precedent time of 32:43! That will be hard to beat for future 70+ runners. Congratulations Bill! Speaking of congrats, Top Honors go to Joe Navas with a time of 25:58 and local female runner Melissa Henry at 33:15.
Due to the proximity to the New Year holiday, next year's race will fall on the second Sunday in January, January 10, 2010. Come out and join us for the 30TH annual CCRR winter Fun Run!
