Mother Nature's continued attempts to sink 3C Race Productions
failed once again as 36 brave (I use that word lightly) souls
challenged the cold, wet, slushy trails of Mine Falls Park ---
and score was Brave Souls 35, Mother Nature 1.

This race was originally scheduled for March 24 and had to be
rescheduled when 10 inches of snow covered the trails 2 days
earlier, but with the next open date not until May 28, the race
was on regardless of Mother Nature's wrath. Thanks to our very
generaous sponsors, we will be able to honor our commitment to
donate money to both the GCS Triad Racing Team and a local con-
servation group without losing too much of our shirt!

As to the race, Enric Podvojsky and Pam Triest-Hallahan both ran
to easy victories in 18:57 and 23:30 respectively. I believe both
are first time ever race winners. Sometimes showing up pays off.

Triest-Hallahan also led the un-challenged GCS Triad Racing Team
women to the team title.

Thanks to Vasque Trail Running Shoes, FuelBelt, and RoadID, we
raffled off more than a dozen prizes - 1 in 3 runners - the best
odds in the race raffle you will ever find.
