The crowd was down from race #1 in the Luv2Run Portland Race
Series, but the satisfaction was way up as we actually got to
run on the trail this time! 55 Runners race around the Back
Cove on a beautiful day for running.

Those 55 runners enjoyed the spoils of a raffle with a better than
1 in 3 chance at winning. Prizes included 2 pairs of Vasque Trail
Running Shoes, 2 FuelBelts, 8 RoadID Kits, and a few Pint Glasses.

Ty Stevens from Vasque, not only supplied the 2 pairs of Vasque
Trail Running Shoes for the raffle, he went out and won the race,
pulling away from runner-up Mark Burns in the 2nd mile. 13 year old
Emily Durgin ran away from the field to win by almost a minute and
a half in 20:25.

Overall and age group winners all got Luv2Run 5K Pint Glasses (ex-
cept for several younger winners who got Luv2Run 5K Soda Mugs!)

All runners also received one of the best race bags in the biz,
courtesy of our many sponsors. The bags included ProMax Energy
Bars, Propel Fitness Water, Bear Naked Granola, Boston Red Sox
Schedule Magnets, Goody StayPuts, Boston Bodyworker 25% Off
Coupons, and Qdoba 2-for-1 Coupons.

We'll be back at the Back Cove on June 30 for the Loco Moose (Almost
Free Running Shoes) 5K --- the race where EVERY entrant receives a
pair of brand new, custom fitted, Loco Sports Running Shoes. If it's
hot enough, we'll bring our Cool Draft Professional Misting System.

like 3C Race Productions has hit the big time --- while all of
you were running around the Back Cove, a group of cyber-hackers
took down our website and replaced it with what can only be called
