Loads o' good stuff happening tonight. Ernesto Soto took off from the start and never looked back, Brian McCarthy took a header in the dark and may never come back, and Buddy the Beagle found a garbage bag that suited his taste for fine dining out back.

Happy birthday to "Fat Tony" Lucia. Whether or not he is "connected" I don't know for sure but I am not going to question him just in case. Tony comes out from Agawam every week and is as tough a runner as anyone. Hitting the big 70, yeah Seventy, has not slowed him down or diminished his active lifestyle in the least. Tony runs, skis, is a damn nice guy and an inspiration to all of us younger folks.

Tony is also a member of the Empire One Running Club which will be holding their 29th Talking Turkey 6 mile race November 24th. Having run this race I can tell you that it is one of the nicest courses you will find and also has a good post race party. In fact a few of us Monday Nighters will be running the 1st annual Brian Wallace 5k in Holden at 10 am and then heading out to Holyoke for the 1pm 6 miler. I don't know if we are too serious about running or just really stupid. Either way we will have a good time.

Now most importantly don't forget about the 1st annual "Worcester's Redneck Deepfried Turkey 5KM or abouts" of course on Thanksgiving. Oh there are other T-Day races around but there are none like this I can guarantee you that. Just sign up already. Vegans welcome but beware, this is the real deal. Turkey will be deep-fried and it will be consumed on the premises so be warned.
