Almost Seems like there were enough birthday cakes tonight for each runner to have their own. Tracy Flynn, not one to let an opportunity for baked goods of any sort pass by, brought in a kick ass chocolate cake for yours truly and Super Mario. Since Mario was not in the house tonight I ate more than enough to cover his share. Mario and myself share the same birthday but unfortunately we do not share the same running prowess, although if I could channel my inner Tonya Harding that could be taken care of. :)

In the fast women category, easy guys it ain't like that, Barbara McManus came sporting a cake for Sarah Joyce who by the looks of things hasn't eaten any cake since Bush 1 was barfing on the prime minister of Japan. She's that fit and I'll be damned if she doesn't know how to use it. Sarah was first woman finisher in Sundays WFD 6K kicking the rear ends of many a woman and man alike.

No Jack Goolsky tonight. Turns out he has joined a softball team to further showcase his vast athletic abilities. Jack is sure to be an all star in the over 40 Polish computer geek slo-pitch softball league. Go get 'em big guy.

In important urban racing news the "Fallon Community Health Plan Canal Diggers 5km" , (try fitting that on a t-shirt) a Paul Collyer creation, appears to be a go for September, 16, 2007. Mark it on your calendars because it sure to be unlike any road race this city has seen in some time.
