Fine night for running in the Canal District. Hazy, Hot, and Humid weather that tends to bring out the various "scents"  of the city, some are good and some not so good. Loads of people out too, sitting on their front stoops, and outside the various establishments that dot the area.  These are the things that make a true urban run unique and the folks that come every week are what make it successful, and anyone that follows the running scene would be quick to say that our run is a success.  Evolving from the "Castle Hill Park 3 Miler" to "Paulie's House Run" into what is now the City's best weekly run, "The An Cu Liath Irish Pub City Run" continues to draw people from all over Central Mass to experince a little slice of city life you just don't get in the 'burbs.

Speaking of the 'burbs, coming up Sunday July 22 in Holden is the 44th Annual Fred S. Warren 5.5 Mile Road Race .  This race is another in a series of Central Mass road racing traditions.  An odd time for a race, an unusual distance and a tough course makes this race kind of a quirky must do. No website, $10.00 day of race entry, and post race raffle are as old timey as you are gonna find.  If all of that isn't enough to draw you to the Town of Holden...... know that Jack Goolsky  will be there.
