The Eighth Annual G.E.N. 5K Run

Please find attached the results of the 8th Annual G.E.N. 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk which was held Sunday April 30, 2006. The event is sponsored by the G.E.N. Fund and the Seekonk Lions Club.

There were 100 Runners and 167 Walkers in the event which originated at Seekonk High School (Seekonk Mass).

Following the race, a celebrity softball game was held with Seekonk Police/Fire versus the Seekonk Lions and Seekonk's own Ken Ryan, former pitcher with the Boston Red Sox.

Money raised is used to award four $2000 scholarships each year. The funds are invested and managed by the Seekonk Lions Charitable Trust, a 501(c)3 Corporation.
