Rutland Rec Ramble Runners Rule!

56 runners were rewarded with a perfect running day, as they braved the bucolic hills & valleys of Rutland for the 1st Annual Rutland Rec Ramble. The overall winner was Michael Maceiko of Worcester, who set the course record of 27:18. Rutland's own Tim Cunningham (28:11) & JJ Goolsky (33:35) put in strong performances to win their respective age groups, while Ms. Madison Rock of the selfsame town won the female 17 and under age group with a fine time of 40:42. Other winners, equally worthy of mention, were our top female, Mary Lammi of Spencer with the new ladies' course best of 34:10, William Stevens, 1st male 40-49 at 33:06, Marty Ellowtiz (M 50-59) coming across at 33:53 & Katie Kinnear of Hubbardston, taking the female 30-39 group in 36:22. Rounding out our list of winners were Worcester's Amy Paquette (F 18-29 38:53) & Linda Stevens for top female in the 50-59 age group. The Central Mass Striders did their usual great job of timing the race, & Rutland Recreation'organizational efforts were without peer! Thanks to all our runners, & we'll see you again next year!
