Pippit's coach had him rest up tonight,
so the course was open for a new winner this week. Art Sherry ran a very smart
race, holding his pace even early on, and nearly knocking me out on the last
hill. Gerry Haden continued his destruction of his PR by trimming another
couple minutes off it. Super night for a run. I was a little surprised at the
sparse turnout, but having Bevin Jett show up made my night. We also had visits
from two new folks we were happy to have join us, Bruce Wagoner (tried to tell
me he hasn't run fast in a long time-yeah, right), and Michael Rogers who is
helping his wife train for the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Nashville. Thanks
for coming down to run with us, and sharing some beers, food, and great
conversation. I really enjoyed tonight, so thanks to those who made it fun.
