Good turnout for our Earth Day
Run. The cash prizes went to overall winners Bevin Jett and Mike Moran. Nelson
was more concerned with working on proper running form, which I respect, and
Alex Diaz timed the event for us (thanks Alex). Most of the crowd stayed for
food and drinks afterwards; thank you to those folks for supporting the Thomas
Street Tavern. I know the owner appreciates our presence there each week.
Earth Day TST Run
30 seconds off your time for each of the following, if
you:
Get better than 25mpg in
your vehicle
Own a pair of Birkenstocks
Know which decade the
Sierra Club was founded
Are able to tell me the
location in which “Jaws” was filmed, quite honestly the best movie ever
conceived, written, directed, filmed, produced, edited, and, of course,
acted. Just my personal opinion, but I’m also the person who believes
“The Andy Griffith Show” was the best-written show in TV history.
5 minutes off if you drive a Subaru (*extra bonus 5
mins off if it’s a wagon)
5 minutes off if you finish the run carrying any trash
you pick up along the racecourse
*ADD 5 minutes if you drive anything in the
‘mega-tundra’ sized SUV (anything w/8 cylinders or more)
5 minutes off if you cross the finish line carrying trash that you picked up
along the course.
