Millennium Park Free Race Series

West Roxbury, MA, May 5, 2004

Very high winds, hills and thrills..

Cool kids on a cool and windy evening!
Cool kids on a cool and windy evening!
The 4th annual race series began with extremely windy conditions on the second highest point in Boston. It was still quite a nice evening for a run. Mellissa Cohen cleaned up the 2.5 mile winning the overall race with Jim Sullivan winning the 5 miler. All were surprised how difficult it was tonight. Next week the course will reverse and should be a more pleasant experience. The kids were all smiles as they flew along the 400m out & back course. Nicholas Lelond was impressive as he buried a 78 sec. finish. That is certainly a record in his age group. Many thanks to the Parkway Running Club, Roche Brothers supermarket (refreshments). One down, three to go! Get ready for the Corrib 5K (June 6th).
