Fall Like Weather Brings Fast Times to Coffee O Fivers

It was a small crowd of 30 runners and a handful of walkers who toed the line for the pre Falmouth Road Race running of the Coffee O Five. D.J. Fairbanks of Woods Hole raced home with his first ever Coffee O Five win with a time of just over 31 minutes. Dan Ruane crossed the line 20 seconds later with his best Coffee O Five time. John Evan took third with his best finish in a long while. Kevin Leach and Brent Hawkins rounded out the top five. Stace Beaulieu bested Alex Borst by just four seconds to take first for the women. Jessica Smith-Rohrberg edged Ann Tarrant for third. Bob Richard ran chalked up a personal best time this week as he cracked the 38 minute mark for his first time ever. Alex Borst had her fastest Coffee O ever and George Connefrey lopped 5 minutes off his time of last week en route to a 45 minute finish. The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile ran and 2.4 mile walk that is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There are no entry fees for these self-timed events and all runners and walkers are invited to participate.
