Hello City of Somerville - one more week and then we are off to our summer home on the Charles River - American Legion Marsh Post nestled right on the banks of the river, all welcome!!

And..well we had a race tonight, not a particularily fast one for the ladies but hay there used to be a time when getting a woman to run in the dark and through the mean streets of Somerville and on a Thursday night wasn't an easy it's a piece a cake!!

Speakin' of not being very fast tonight...Greg Grant beat the soon to be married to Marie Kemp- Kevin Christian and by a nano two seconds...Kevin used to be pretty of those very low 4 minute guys for he is just one of us as is Marie Kemp who are two of the nicest folks to ever run the streets of Somerville and we have had loads of em'--some from the law, and some just for fun:>) Congratulations to both...

Enough of the fluff now...since it will be our last Thursday night in Somerville this coming 4/29/04, until the Fall 2004...the D.A.V. Commander, Kevin Doherty has offered the pizza and your 1st beer on the Disabled American Veterans if your one of those runners who likes everything for free and the race directors pension......come on down-- the pizza and 1st beer are free, the race still costs $2.00, as I have just booked a flight to the Galway Races in August and need to start saving:>)
