30th Annual GMAA Apple Harvest 10K
Shelburne, VT, October 11, 2003

Weather: sunny, no wind, and 55 degrees
Race Directors: Monika Moran and Courtney Gates
Summary: cool temperatures and calm winds set the stage for a great race. Josh Brown pulled ahead early and never looked back, winning by three minutes in a time of 34:12. Jack Pilla and Jon Miller finished second and third in 37:16 and 37:37. Carole Harris also tool off quickly and ran the fastest time ever (38:47) in the 27 times this race has been 10K. Oonagh McHugh-Dillon and Cheryl Aley finished second and third in 42:29 and 43:35. Other notable performances include 60s age group record setter Peter Mitchell in 46:01, and 12 year old Megan Riddle's 69:07 finish. It is nice to see a 60 year age span (Megan to Don Lacharite) in a long distance race. Carole's and Oonagh's times were also good for age group records.
