Kevin Tilton and Nikki Kimball Win 16th Annual Cranmore Hill Climb.

NORTH CONWAY, NH - White Mountain Miler Kevin Tilton of Conway, NH won the Cranmore Hill Climb in a time of 21:11. Just behind him was Teva US Mountain Running Team Manager Richard Bolt of Manchester in 21:31 and White Mountain Miler Tim Livingston of Conway in 22:13.

The first woman overall was Nikki Kimball of Elizabethtown, NY in a time of 25:27. Kimball, a member of the Teva US Mountain Running Team, is fresh off her victory at the Adirondack Distance Festival Marathon. She missed setting the course record at Cranmore by 22 seconds. Coming in second for the women was Sara Reeder of Intervale, NH in 31:07 and in third was Meredith Piotrow of Jackson, NH in a time of 31:10.

The Hill Climb, in it's 16th year moved from a summer race to a fall race for the first time. With near perfect fall conditions, 51 finishers completed the 3 Mile race to the summit of Mount Cranmore Ski Area. The trail race gains 1200 feet of elevation and reaches the summit of the mountain via the ski area service road. It is a benefit for the Gretchen B. Hatch Memorial Scholarship Fund which provide scholarships to students in the Mt. Washington Valley who show proficiency in academics as well as in the sport of running.

The race is made possible through its generous sponsors including Cranmore Mountain Resort, the White Mountain Milers, EMS, Flatbread Pizza, Hannaford, Rick Copley's Ultimate Fitness, Shaw's, Walmart & Zeb's General Store.
