Your humble race director asked 71 year ole Jack Curtin if he had a pre-race strategy to beat 70 year ole Ted Kuhne tonight and he responded that he figured to "bust one out" and bust one out he did tonight ending a 6 month drought of wins over TK by whupping Ted Kuhne by a mere 21 seconds and experiancing a cheer at the "Finish Line" that was equal to the cheers IKE received after liberating Europe in 1944:>)

Loads of good cheer tonight down at the VFW Logan Post...with a "FREE" post race BBQ of chicken and steak kabobs hosted and paid for by the Express Running Club and the various rif-raf that hang out with us...(1) cook for every (3) runners tonight and not a sad puss in the running joint where everyone knows your name and if we don't we make it a point to:>)

Special Cheers to Frankie Keane who once again celebrated a birthday with his pals west of Charlestown over cake and cold Harpoon beer....66 years old and still the man to beat in Somerville!!

And Lastly, congratulations to two lovely ladies, Karyn Corcoran &Nicole Brighouse of the SSAC who are with child and still exercising and hanging out with their pals in the "Ville".........good luck to the hubbies also--Matt Corcoran &Rocky Brighouse :>)

The SSAC "Toy's For Tot's" Toy Drive begins on October 16th...please feel free to drop off a toy on any Thursday Night at the VFW Logan Post 3.2 Miler leading up to Christmas...all that do will have their race and pizza fee on your "Humble" Race Director:>), that particular night!!
