Last Daylight Coffee O Five For Awhile

It was cold and also the last Coffee O Five to be run in daylight for quite a while. Thirty-one runners and eight walkers took part in this edition of the pre Cape Cod Marathon Coffee O Five. It was a three-way tie for first for the men. Brian Nelson out-kicked David Farrell for fourth by just ten seconds. Mr. Nelson had the advantage of having slightly younger legs then Mr. Farrell. Hanumant Singh, who lives on the course, chalked up one of his best Coffee O finishes with a sixth place effort. Kris Tholke took first for the women with time of just over 40 minutes. Finishing in a three-way tie for second was the trio of: Joanna York, Mary Olenik, and Stace Beaulieu. Judi Keller matched strides with Leslie Hempling of Pennsylvania in a tie for fifth. Ms. Hempling was tuning up for Sunday¹s Cape Cod Marathon. The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. Costumes and reflective running gear will be required for next week¹s Halloween O Five.
