Twenty-Five at Pre Turkey Day Coffee O Five

Twenty-five runners and four walkers took part in this weekıs Coffee O Five. Matt Plant turned in his fastest five mile time in the last couple of years en route to a third place finish. Mr. Plantıs time of 31:20 was a minute and a half faster than his time of last week. Jeff List took fourth in a shade over 32 minutes and Andrew Hassey nabbed fifth finishing just a minute later. Fifty has been a good year for Bob Richards. Mr. Richards chalked up another five-mile personal best timeŠhis fourth in the last five weeks or so. He finished in 38:23 and now has his sights set on the 38-minute barrier. Russ Pelletier completed his first run of five miles in over a year and huffed and puffed his way into Town Hall Square in three tics under 43 minutes. Wendy Stafford was the first woman in just under 36 minutes. Kelle List outdid her husband this week as she trotted home in second place, which was her best Coffee O Five finish. Caroline Roberts finished a minute later in 47:37 to take third. Carolyn Bird was escorted in by Sharon Grace and Kathie Fallon as all three women crossed the line together. The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run and 2.4 mile walk which is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. At next weeks post Thanksgiving Day event, runners and walkers will be able to work off their Thanksgiving feasts. Reflective running gear is required through the winter.
