List and Miskell Are Coffee-O Winners

Jeff List of East Falmouth and Eileen Miskell of Falmouth won this week's edition of the Coffee-O Five. It was a beautiful spring evening with clear skies, no wind and a 66 degree temperature. Thirty-seven runners and 10 walkers toed the line at the 5:30 start in Town Hall Square.

Thirty-seven minutes later, Jeff List roared back into the square and crossed the line in 32:07. He was followed closely by Mark Abbott (32:33). Justin Neviackas held off Dana Miskell to take third place by 10 seconds. The top five was rounded out by Patrick Parker, who finished in a fast enough time to catch the next boat to Martha's Vineyard.

In the women's race, Eileen Miskell by 2 seconds narrowly missed a PR, which she had set back in 1997, as she topped the women's field with a time of 40:47. Sabine Mecking came in second with a time of 41:30. Kris Tholke (42:25), Dana DeLorme (43:45), and Medeleine Marken (47:59) placed third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

The Coffee-O Five is held every week at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There is no entry fee or registration required for this self-timed event and all runners and walkers are welcome.
