13 Year Old Ned Havel Finishes 3rd

The Watuppa Pond 5K Race Series kicked off with a field of 8, but never
got close to Watuppa Pond as the roads into the Watuppa Reservation were
vintage Fall River - more pothole than pavement.
Thanks to BMD Durfee High School Coach Dave Ozug, with last-minute help
from Woody Wilson, an accurate 5K was held within the Fall River Indus-
trial Park - albeit a very challenging 5K.
Steve Brightman took 195 over from Providence, Rhode Island to take the
checkered flag with a sterling 17:47 course record run.
The Watuppa Pond 5K Race Series continues the second Wednesday each month
through September 10 starting from the corner of Wilson Road and Riggen-
bach Road in the Fall River Industrial Park at 6:30 PM.
