Once again, the Race Director's of
the Are You Nuts? Trail Race Series were happy to see the weather on April
20, 2002 was clear, warm, and sunny. The Pt. Defiance 10k went very
smooth. The only unusual circumstance of the day was that the
trails were rather dry compared to the usual nutty mud.
Thanks to Talking Rain for the half way point water station.
Also, thanks to Clif Bar, Isis Sportswear for Women and the
volunteers.
The top three in each category received prizes. The first
place prize consisted of a one person entry into the Wuhoo! Urban
Adventure Race at Point Defiance Park on May 11, a one person entry into
another Are You Nuts? Trail Race and various prizes from our
sponsors. These were awarded to Rebecca Payne and Chris Bachl.
Chris left early so was not there to claim his prize. The second place
prize consisted of an entry into another Are You Nuts? Trail Race
and various prizes from our sponsors. These were awarded to
Lindsey Mohl and Bob Williams. The third place prize consisted of
various prizes from our sponsors. These were awarded to Kerry Esson
and Jeff Snyder.
Congratulations to those participants that won draw prizes
and, a farewell to Jeff Snyder who is moving back to
California.
