It was yet another PR morning with clear skies, no wind, virtually non-existent humidity and a temperature of 50 degrees for the 8:00AM start.
Bill Schroeder (Kingwood) outdistanced multi-time RTW winner Craig Calmes (Spring) for the overall win, while RTW regular Ann Leoni (The Woodlands) was the first female finisher.
Of the 41 finishers, not a single one was in the 20-29 age group. The dearth of age 20-29 racers is not a phenomenom unique to the RTW series, but rather one that is country-wide.
The next race in the series is scheduled for Saturday, March 9th. The entry fee remains $1.00 (yes, one dollar).
