Light rain accompanied the runners at Howard County Striders "Meet of Miles" event. Race director and baker, Gerry Clapper, offered home baked cookies and breads to the winners. The youngest runner, Abiola Morakinyo (15 mos), ran a 1:35 in the 100 meter event. Five 4 year olds competed also in this event with Brittany Lang winning the race. Steven Eastman won the 400 meter race. The adults ran in 3 heats according to expected finish times. The overall mens winner was Matt Skaggs (4:45) and Kerrie Bowes (5:24).
